I'm confused. Apparently, eeply said he, "Tested it on CUH-2015A and CUH-2016B." Could the same kernel work on a lower firmware, but not 5.05?

I've tried the v2 release, followed all the instructions to the letter, and still niente. Rancid, can you please pass this information along to the development team: cuh-2015a is incompatible with psxitarch.

There's been some progress here. We've found out that cuh-7116b is also effected by this error, and is related to device busy.

Hello, I wanted throw my hat in with the consoles that do not work. I have a CUH- 7115B. When attempting to install Linux, the ps4 reboots to a black screen and i get a solid white LED on the front. I will have to press and hold the power button to restart the system.Ive tried the files listed here to no avail. Im on firmware 5.05. thanks

First I would thank you so much for the huge work done, I have Arch linux completely running on my Ps4 slim with mate desktop, rpcs3, redream, playonlinux,... everything is working like a charm, and as usual I want to try more like anbox and virtualbox which are requesting the kernel headers, so could you please share it or point me to how to do it.

I finally did it, I downloaded the kernel from git and compile it with:

sudo make -j9
sudo make modules-install

Create symlink to headers:

sudo ln -s /lib/modules/4.14.93/build/ /usr/src/

sudo mv build linux-4.14.93

Now virtualbox is running and windows 10 install is ongoing!
